なんとシイタケの種で17000もの性別をもつ種があるとのこと。人間だと男と女だけなのでいかにも不思議ですがキノコはその場にとどまって繁殖するのでなるべく多様なほうが遺伝子を残す確率が増えるというのが理由だそうです。そもそもFacebookには58の性別項目があるというし多様性というのも悪くないのかなとは思います。
